Jhirmack Distinctions Silver Plus Shampoo Review
It’s been a while since I had my hair one solid color. In the past two years I’ve been ombre-ing my hair, and for the gals who are with me on this one, you’ll know exactly why I’m writing this.
In the shampoo market, there aren’t that many products that are specifically made for ombre hair. I’m a woman who’s really into my hair treatments, and I do everything I possibly can to make sure that my hair is looking its best.
With that being said, I consulted with my hair stylist, and she said Jhirmack Distinctions Silver Plus shampoo was the best shampoo to use for people with our hair types and coloring. I was a bit surprised, because the name makes it sounds like it is exclusively for grey and silver hair. To my surprise, it did wonders on my two-tone coloring, and I’m here to spread the word!
All There Is To Know About Purple Shampoo
For those of you who are familiar with the term purple shampoo, you’ll know exactly what it does and how it works. For the newbies out there don’t sweat it, you’ll catch on quick!
Jhirmack purple shampoo should be applied and lathered onto your hair once or twice a week. This is not a shampoo that should be used daily. It has a pretty dark pigment of purple – but no worries! Because it’s more of a liquid-y shampoo, it is able to rinse out nice and easy.
Jhirmack Distinctions shampoo is specifically targeted towards grey, blonde, bleached, or highlighted hair. It has a color safe formula that boots softness and texture while at the same time, getting rid of brassy tones. It can enhance your highlights and improves your hair’s elasticity. It is made from green tea extract and folic acid to strengthen your hair, while the antioxidant Coenzyme Q10 (coQ10) protects from styling damage and environment stresses to keep your hair looking strong and healthy.

Jhirmack Purple Shampoo Review Breakdown
- Scent – The shampoo doesn’t smell especially flowery or anything, just clean. There really isn’t any way to describe it, and even on the bottle there is no mention of a scent. It does have a lasting clean smell that stays around all day. For blondes who aren’t crazy about strong smelling shampoo, this is definitely your go-to product.
- Pricing – As fate may have it, I have found Jhirmack shampoo to actually be the cheapest purple shampoo on the market, at only $7.58 for a 13.6 oz bottle on Amazon. Its also available at almost any drug store, but prices may vary. If this silver plus shampoo cost three times as much as it does, it’d still be my go-to purple shampoo, so I guess that says something.
- Texture – The shampoo has an average texture but is definitely more watery than thick, making it easy to rinse and clean your hair without difficulty. It lathers on to my hair pretty nicely and gets the job done.
Overall, this is a great product for an awesome price. I would specifically recommend Jhirmack Distinctions silver plus shampoo for people with ombre or highlighted blonde hair. This shampoo is the only one that I have found so far that gets my hair looking just the way I like it. It’s a no-brainer!
